Errata

Between the writer's pen and the printed page are many steps, and occasional mistakes appear. Here is a list of corrections to the first edition of the book:

1. In the page opposite table of contents: verse is from Psalms, not Proverbs
2. p. xii, line 1: Avivah Zornberg's name is spelled incorrectly (please add "h")
3. xvi, n. 2 – “see the next heading” should read “see the next section”
4. p. 44 Maimonides – should say 12th century, not 11th (correct dates on p. 181)
5. p. 80, top line:  "forbearers" is wrong; should read "forebears"
6. p. 92 puts Seforno in 15th century but should be 16th (it's correct on p. 127, n. 24)
7. On p. 103, line 19: the words "of her" appear twice in a row
8. On the same line: "discernible" is spelled incorrectly
9. p. 110, n. 31 "Yomah" – should be "Yoma" without an h (it's correct on p. 173)
10. p. 154, line before inset quote should be in regular, larger, type "This new perspective rings out..."
